Finding the perfect 50th birthday party Invitations.
When I was looking for my husbands 50th Birthday Invitation I had a lot of options to pick from. Some options were the colorful cute invitations with a big "50th Happy Birthday" lettering in front. I found invitaions that were very elegant with fancy script lettering in front. They were really nice designs but they were so generic and very expensive.
But for my husbands 50th Birthday I wanted something special and unique. So a girlfriend of mine gave me this great idea which turned out to be a hit!!! And I might add very inexpensive compared to my other options.
Here is what I did. I looked through my husbands old photo albums and found one of his childhood photos of when he was like 9 or 10 years old and customized it with this wording "Guess who's turning 50?" on the front of the invitation, when opened, it showed the normal birthday invitation wording.
Our family and friends LOVE THEM! They thought the invitations were really special and unique, exactly what I wanted.
This is how I created and ordered these 50th Birthday Invitations
The first step will be to obviously find an old photo of the birthday boy or girl. A black and white photo looks the best for this type of invitation, but color will do just fine.
The next step is to head on over to Vista Print. This company allows you to use their pre-design templates to personalize your birthday invitations however you want, you can let your creative juices flow here.
Then I selected "Invitations & Annoucements" from their menu. I selected the folded 5.5 X 4 inch Birthday "photo invitations" which then I uploaded the birthday boy's photo. I added the personalized text to the front "Guess who's turning 50?" and chose a nice font. Then I modified the inside of the invitation to read this;

Then I chose 50 invitations and at the time I paid a little less then 50 cents an invitation! I chose some plain white envelopes which were FREE. I selected a Matte finish for my invitations, Vista Print gives you a choice to select a glossy finish for no extra charge.
I had my 50th Birthday Invitations printed and deliverd to my sisters house (don't forget, if it's a surprise for your spouse don't have them delivered to your house ;) in 5 days.
